GUIME

A unique "Olde" Spanish style village house with private heated swimming pool

The detached house is centrally located and is reputed as being the oldest in the village.  Built to classic Spanish design, the present owners have restored the house in keeping with its original character, combining old and modern furniture and fittings throughout.

SITUATION
Lying just a few miles to the north of Puerto del Carmen is the quaint old village of Guime, which  is  commercially

undeveloped and therefore offers a chance to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere away from but within easy reach of the major resorts.  The capital Arrecife and the airport are around a 10 minute drive and the main resort of Puerto del Carmen can be reached in 15 minutes.  A supermarket for everyday provisions is close by as is a very local bar with a telephone kiosk.  There is a very good restaurant within a 10 minute walk.

ACCOMMODATION
The accommodation is to ground and first floor and is unique insofar as most rooms on both levels lead out to either a terrace or verandah overlooking the pool and garden.

To the first floor there is a very spacious kitchen/breakfast room, fully equipped including gas hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge freezer, washing machine and all utensils for self catering.  A sitting/reading area with easy chairs leads into the spacious lounge which is comfortably furnished with three piece suite, coffee table, TV/video and radio cassette player.

French doors lead out onto the verandah, from where there are some lovely views of the surrounding countryside, and a further outside breakfast area with table and chairs.

Stairs lead from the kitchen to ground level where there is one double-bedroom and two twins.  The main bedroom has a bathroom en-suite with full bath.  The other two bedrooms share a second shower room.  There is a third cloakroom with WC on the first floor.  All bedrooms lead out to the pool terrace.

OUTSIDE
The house overlooks an extremely attractive garden area, totally secluded with a private heated swimming pool.  There is a raised sunbathing terrace decked with astro-turf with adjacent plantation beds of tropical plants.  The outside area is very sheltered offering maximum privacy for sunbathing.  Patio furniture and sun loungers complete the poolside facilities.

La Veranda offers a unique holiday in an antique house with immense character.  Due to location, car hire is considered essential and is therefore included in the holiday.

La Veranda is under new ownership.  The lounge is refurbished and trees and shrubs are well-established.
