HISTORY
The heart of Guime’s Caserio, known today as Adela’s rooms was built in the second half of the 18th century by Pedro Bermudez, a rich local farmer who assigned the building to the neighbours who worked his land. His son, Jose, was responsible for enlarging the building by constructing the area which has been dedicated by the present owner to his grandmother Cristina. At the beginning of the 19th century Juan Vicencio Bermudez added the stables and finished the enlargement of the house, which has not changed its architectural structure

since then. The stables were modified 100 years later and converted into a bodega with accommodation and has been named Luise. The three houses, Adela, Cristina and Luise make up the Caserio. The history of the house is felt through its thick stone walls inlaid with beautiful Canarian woodwork.

ACCOMMODATION
Each house forms a separate and completely self-contained unit with gardens and private heated swimming pool. All the houses are similar in nature and furnishings and all offer complete privacy both inside and out from the other two properties.
Each accommodation comprises: Two twin bedrooms with wardrobes, family bathroom with full suite, living room with 3 piece suite and dining area with table and chairs.   Satellite TV and music

unit. The modern kitchen has electric oven with ceramic hob, fridge with separate freezer, microwave and washing machine.  A feature of the kitchen is the unique lichen covered lava stone hob canopy. There are ample storage units, numerous appliances and all utensils for self catering.

OUTSIDE
Doors lead from the living room out on to a generous sun terrace partly shaded by a pergola where there is a table and chairs for al fresco dining. The extensive garden is meticulously kept and is sheltered by high walls all around in traditional volcanic stone. Beautiful tropical shrubs and cactus are well established throughout. The attractive power heated swimming pool is enclosed by a low lava wall which surrounds the pool sunbathing terraces, where there are quality hardwood sunloungers.  A barbecue completes the outside facilities.

For the guests' further experience the Caserio offers the possibility to try their hand at the local sport “bola canaria” in a special field. The family also have at their disposal a “bodega” (wine tavern) next door to the houses.  El Caserio de Guime offers unique alternative accommodation in a property of immense character and steeped in history.  Car hire is essential in Guime and is therefore included with the holiday.
